One kiosk, the whole pharmacy

The MedCenter brought prescriptions, over-the-counter medication, payment, and a live pharmacist into a single self-service unit, designed to feel safe, clear, and approachable.

The Challenge

Reimagining access to pharmacy services

Traditional pharmacies often involve long wait times, limited hours, and manual prescription processes. MedAvail set out to create a self-service digital pharmacy ecosystem that put more control in patients' hands.

Patients needed a safe and convenient way to collect prescriptions outside traditional pharmacy settings, without losing the reassurance of a real pharmacist.

Signature Moment
Human support, by design

Bringing human support into self-service

To maintain trust and compliance, a licensed pharmacist appeared on screen throughout the flow, turning an automated touchpoint into a moment of real care.

For privacy, a physical handset on the unit let patients talk things through confidentially, so sensitive health questions stayed between the patient and the pharmacist.

My role

Front-end (UI) development. The product was designed by others; I built the mobile interface.

The Fastlane app let patients set up profiles, place orders, and track pickups from their phone.

Front-end (UI) development of the responsive web interface.

Stock Check let staff look up whether a medication was in stock at a given location. The same interface scaled from desktop down to mobile.

From design to implementation

Beyond UX and UI design, I translated interfaces into production-ready front-end experiences.

Bridging design and development helped ensure visual consistency across four products and made implementation faster, with fewer gaps between intent and the shipped screen.
